You Don't Have to Be a Rider Yet to Come to Babes in the Dirt - Babes in the Dirt is for Future Riders Too

One of the biggest misconceptions about Babes in the Dirt is that you already need to be a dirt bike rider to attend.

You don't.

In fact, some of our favorite attendees are the people who show up simply because they're curious (that was me 6 years ago and I was already putting on the event with my BFF who had been riding off-road for years!).

Maybe you've been thinking about getting a dirt bike. Maybe you've watched videos online and wondered what it would feel like to ride. Maybe your friends ride and you've always felt a little intimidated asking questions. Or maybe you've never thrown a leg over a motorcycle in your life but something about the dirt riding community keeps calling your name.

Babes in the Dirt was built for you, too.

Start With Curiosity

Every rider starts somewhere.

Nobody is born knowing what bike to buy, what gear they need, how to transport a motorcycle, or what all those acronyms and technical terms mean. Every experienced rider you meet at Babes in the Dirt was once standing exactly where you are now. I personally recall this vividly and how overwhelming it was.

The difference is they found a place where asking questions was encouraged.

That's what we want Babes in the Dirt to be.

A place where you can show up, learn, explore, and leave with a much clearer understanding of whether dirt biking is something you want to pursue, and if so, we want to support that journey.

A Guided Introduction to the Dirt Bike World

This year, we're creating dedicated programming specifically for future riders and first-timers.

Ashmore will take you on a guided tour through the event village, introducing you to the brands, coaches, organizations, and experts who make up the dirt riding community.

Instead of wandering around wondering where to start, you'll have a chance to:

  • Meet industry experts in a welcoming environment.
  • Learn about different types of dirt bikes and who they're designed for.
  • Understand what riding gear you actually need.
  • Ask questions without feeling judged.
  • Meet coaches and trainers who help beginners learn.
  • Connect with riders who recently started their own journey.
  • Discover local riding groups and communities.

Think of it as a backstage pass to the world of dirt biking hosted by someone who is so excited to have you there :)

No Dumb Questions

One of the hardest parts of starting anything new is feeling like everyone else already knows more than you.

At Babes in the Dirt, we expect questions.

Lots of them. And guess what? WE LOVE THEM!!

What bike should I buy?

How much does it cost to get started?

Am I too old to learn?

Can I touch the ground?

How do I transport a bike?

What if I'm nervous?

What if I don't know anyone?

These are the conversations happening all weekend long, and they're exactly the conversations we're here for.

Come Alone. You'll Leave With People.

Many attendees arrive without knowing a single person.

By the end of the weekend, they're sharing campfires, exchanging phone numbers, planning future rides, and discovering that the riding community is much more welcoming than they imagined.

You don't need a riding crew before you come.

You come to find one.

The Best Time to Start Is Before You Feel Ready

If you've been waiting until you know more, have more experience, or feel more confident, consider this your invitation.

You don't need a bike.

You don't need riding gear.

You don't need experience.

You just need curiosity.

Babes in the Dirt isn't only for riders. It's for future riders, too.

Come ask questions. Meet people. Explore the world of dirt bikes. Learn what all the excitement is about.

Who knows? It just may change your entire life <3
